The home buying process can be fun and exciting whether you’re a first time home buyer or an experienced home buyer.  Being knowledgeable and prepared will allow you to enjoy the home buying process.

First

Talk with a lender to find out what your options are and to find out exactly what you can afford.  The lender will gather all of the needed information from you and then let you know what types of loans are available for you.

Second

Start your home search.  Once you’ve decided on where you want to live, find a qualified real estate agent who can show you homes on the market that fit within your price range.  Once you’ve identified the home you want, your real estate agent will assist you with making an offer.  When the offer is accepted, you are now one step closer to home ownership.

Third

After offer is accepted, you will then move on to the closing process.  A lot of times this is done at a title company.  You will receive all of the information on your new home and sign a series of documents.  At that point you are a homeowner.
